Cape Verdean Recognition Scholarship Committee awards $42K in scholarships

NEW BEDFORD — The Cape Verdean Recognition Scholarship Committee awarded $42,000 to 33 outstanding high school graduates from the Greater New Bedford area during a recent ceremony held at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.The committee has awarded over $420,000 to 396 recipients in the past 15 years, according to a news release.
